Good Friday Prayer
At the foot of the Cross, our mission of consolation is renewed in prayer, sacrifice, and love.
About ACMC
A Public Association of the Christian Faithful for Women, rooted in the Franciscan tradition and inspired by the sacred prayer Anima Christi.
The Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation were founded in 2019 in Katsina-Ala, Nigeria, a region in Benue State deeply marked by suffering and resilient faith. It was there that Sister Felicia Agibi answered God’s call to heal the brokenhearted and console the afflicted.
With the support of the late Bishop Peter I. Adoboh, who canonically erected the community, Katsina-Ala remains our spiritual birthplace and the seedbed of our mission of mercy.

Our Foundress
Sister Felicia Agibi’s quest for deeper union with Christ in holiness took her from serving dedicatedly for 32 years with the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus to discerning, listening, and responding generously to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as founding servant of Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation.
A leader is one who knows the way, walks the way, and consoles along the way. In Sr. Felicia, ACMC sees the heart of a shepherdess who leads through prayer, fidelity, simplicity, and compassionate accompaniment.
Through her witness, the sisters learn that leadership is not domination, but accompaniment—walking with the wounded, lifting the weary, and bringing hope where there is despair.
Servant Leadership
Following Christ who washed the feet of His disciples, ACMC understands leadership as humble service. The missionary bends low to lift others up, accompanying the suffering with reverence and compassion.
“I have given you an example that you also should do as I have done to you.” — John 13:15

Prayer, Guidance, and Witness

At the foot of the Cross, our mission of consolation is renewed in prayer, sacrifice, and love.

Our foundress with Father Henry Beck, OFM, her spiritual director and Franciscan friar.

The black-and-white habits are visible signs of mission, prayer, humility, and consolation.
Our Charism
We contemplate the wounds of Christ and seek to bring His healing love to wounded souls. Our consecrated life is nourished by daily prayer, Mass, adoration, and devotion to the Crucified Christ.
St. Francis and St. Clare inspire our simplicity, joyful poverty, reverence, and service.
