Our Ecclesial Foundation
Most Rev. Peter I. Adoboh
The late Most Rev. Peter Iorzuul Adoboh, first Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala, holds a special and enduring place in the history of ACMC.
After accompanying the emerging community, Bishop Adoboh formally erected Anima Christi Missionaries on November 30, 2019, as a Public Association of the Christian Faithful in the Diocese of Katsina-Ala. His pastoral discernment and fatherly encouragement gave the young community an ecclesial home in which its charism of consolation could take root and grow.
ACMC remembers him with gratitude and prayer as the founding shepherd through whom the community received its original ecclesial recognition.

Continuing Our Ecclesial Journey
Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation continues its journey of discernment and ecclesial development within the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala under its present diocesan bishop, Most Rev. Isaac B. Dugu, while seeking faithfully to follow the guidance and requirements of the Church.
With gratitude for our beginnings and trust in God’s providence, we seek to grow patiently, responsibly, and in communion with the Church as the ACMC charism continues to mature.
The Mission Continues
A New Generation Discerns the Call
The ecclesial seed planted in 2019 continues to show signs of new life through women discerning a vocation with ACMC.
Our aspirants represent hope for the future: women learning to listen for the voice of Christ, to deepen their life of prayer, and to discern whether they are called to bring His consolation to wounded communities through the Franciscan missionary life of ACMC.
