Church Roots

In Communion with the Church

Honoring the shepherds and ecclesial roots that accompany the mission of Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation.

Bishop Peter I. Adoboh

Founding Shepherd

Bishop Peter I. Adoboh

The late Most Rev. Peter Iorzuul Adoboh was the first Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Katsina-Ala. ACMC remembers him with gratitude as the founding shepherd who supported and canonically erected the community in 2019.

His fatherly encouragement helped plant the seed of Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation in Katsina-Ala, Nigeria, where the mission of healing, consolation, evangelization, and service continues to grow.

In blessed memory: Most Rev. Peter I. Adoboh, 1958–2020.

His Legacy Continues

Aspirants with the Foundress

The vision of Bishop Adoboh continues to bear fruit through young women discerning a life of consecration and service with ACMC.

Holy Father and Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church

As daughters of the Church, Anima Christi Missionaries of Consolation seeks to live its mission in fidelity to Christ, in communion with the Holy Father, and in loving service to the wounded Body of Christ.

We entrust our missionary work, vocations, and service to the poor to the prayerful guidance of the Church and the pastoral care of the Successor of Peter.
